Went to the dentist this morning for the first time in nearly 3 years. This is because for 3 years I didn't have dental insurance. I have never been scared of the dentist...even with the run-in with Dr. Quinn when I was about 6 (traumatic). Whenever I get cleanings, I'm in and out, fast as lightening, I wear my free sticker with pride with my head held high. But not today. My dentist pretty much slapped my with her drill, made me cry and declared I had 6 maybe 7 cavities to the 3 dental assistants sitting around watching...it was awful, I walked out stickerless with my head down.
I will leave you with this quote from my devotional this morning..

Nice Bonhoeffer quote. I was in the same situation. I've been to the dentist about 15 times (this isn't an exaggeration) since I got on Leah's insurance in September. I had 5 cavities and a root canal. They broke the root canal up into about 5 or 6 visits for some reason.
I am finally finished; however my one tooth that was worked on in September is still extra sensitive to hot and cold, which was supposed to go away within 3 weeks. Oh well, I'm not going back.
Anyway. I got a Sonic Care tooth brush for Christmas and I spend a lot of time on my teeth (not that I didn't before, I have soft teeth that are prone to cavities!)
I'll stand with you in solidarity!
This happened to me too! 1 year after college
I'm very sorry for what happened to you. I also used to have cavities on my teeth, but my dentist wouldn't do that thing. I hope your teeth feel well now.
